Plano, Texas, March 23, 2016 – JPIIHS Senior Ralph De La Garza signed to play soccer for Division III Austin College in Sherman, Texas. De La Garza, who also plays club for FC Premier, will play for coach Mark Hudson in the Southen Collegiate Athletic Conference. “I chose Austin College because I feel like it will completely mimic my experience here at JPIIHS,” said De La Garza. 

De La Garza is a captain for JPIIHS coach Jamie Dewitt’s team, and was a four-year letterman. “Ralphie is a great leader and passionate student/athlete, who will succeed in whatever he does,” said Dewitt. “I am excited to see how he can compete and contribute to the Austin College soccer program.”

De La Garza also plays for the JPIIHS football team, and is involved in the school’s Leadership Council and the Young Men’s Service League.
