Plano East Baseball Booster Club welcomed former players back for the April 8 Alumni Homecoming

Pei Wei Asian Diner at 15th Street and Alma in Plano will host a fundraiser for the Plano East Baseball Booster Club 11 a.m. -  7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, May 4. Guests just need to say they are supporting the Plano East Baseball program when they order and Pei Wei will donate 20% of the sales to the booster club.

“Over the past few years the Plano East Baseball Booster Club has installed a new electronic scoreboard, artificial turf in the infield, and a new bullpen,” said Greg Ligon, Plano East Baseball Booster Club president. “We also reconfigured the batting cages and painted the locker room, shed and railings.”

The Booster Club recently recognized former Plano East Baseball players before the April 8 game between Plano East and Hebron High School.  Former PESH players Ron Walker (1987 graduate), Mike Arnold (1991 grad), and Erik ?Dick?ison (199?0? grad) joined former Coach ?Larry Weserman (?1981 - 2006) and Anne Franklin, former coach Rusty Franklin’s widow, before the game. Dick?ison? ?threw out the ceremonial first pitch? with Arnold catching?.   There was a gallery of team photos displayed outside the locker room. After the game, fans were allowed on the field to run the bases.
The Plano East Baseball Booster Club is always looking to connect with former Plano East Baseball players. Alumnae are invited to email greg@ligongroup.com.
