Plano, Texas, April 12, 2016 – JPIIHS Senior Roberto Olivera signed to play soccer for Division III Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Olivera, who has played club for FC Premier and FC Dallas, will play for coach Mark Hudson in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. “I chose Austin College because of its unique ability to mix educational excellence with the opportunity to play soccer at a high level,” said Olivera. “I am very thankful for this opportunity and look
forward to being apart of the wonderful community that the school provides.”

Olivera is a captain for JPIIHS coach Jamie DeWitt’s team, and was a four-year letterman and starter. “He is truly a team player, very unselfish and has been a huge part of our success the past four years,” said DeWitt. “I am proud of the man he has become, and look forward to seeing him grow into his role at Austin College.”

Olivera is also involved in National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, and the Cardinal Crew leadership group, and has completed more than ninety hours of Christian Service.
