Swim Lessons

In partnership with the Woodbridge Homeowners Association, the Plano Family YMCA will be offering swim lessons to Woodbridge community families. These aquatic programs are only available to Woodbridge residents.

At the Y, we've been teaching people of all ages how to swim for over 100 years. Swimming builds self-confi dence and develops the whole person - spirit, mind and body. Our Youth Swim Lessons are divided into ability groups and trained instructors emphasize personal safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills while guiding students with praise and encouragement.

Online registration and more information is available at All swim lessons will be conducted at the pool located at Woodbridge Golf Club. 7400 Country Club Drive, Wylie, TX 75098.

Youth Sports

Registration is underway through May 25 for Summer Basketball. Our youth basketball league has no tryouts and everyone is welcome. Thanks to the Y's sports philosophy and basketball rules, kids participate in every game and receive equal playing time, regardless of skill level.

Youth Basketball at the Y develops fundamental basketball skills, teaches teamwork and promotes physical activity in a team environment. This indoor basketball league is open to boys and girls ages 3-12.

The season runs from June 9th through July 23rd from 9:00AM-6:00PM. Practice begins the week of June 1st. All practices will be at the Plano YMCA with times between 5:00pm and 9:00pm Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays to be chosen by the volunteer Head Coach at the Coaches Meeting.

Summer Season games will be played on Tuesday or Thursday nights between 5pm and 9pm.  Games are played at Plano, McKinney or Frisco ISD schools.  Season is 6 games total with no tournament.
