Today’s college student requires the flexibility of achieving a degree while juggling their professional and personal lives.

Weekend College offers students an alternative to the traditional course schedule. Its main intent is to provide students who are less able to attend college during a traditional time frame the opportunity to complete the core curriculum of the associate of arts, associate of science or the associate of arts in teaching degrees on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays without interrupting the work week.

These degrees are offered with a variety of schedule options on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons, Sunday afternoons or any combination without interrupting the work week.

Core and non-core classes are offered in:

  • Standard weekend format (16 weeks)
  • Weekend Express Block (three weekends)
  • Weekend Extended Block (seven or eight weekends)
  • Self-Paced Flex-Entry
  • Blended or Hybrid Courses (with weekend meeting times)

Weekend College students frequently include evening and distance education courses to enhance the flexibility and complete degrees quicker. Course content matches the college’s weekday offerings and students are held to the same performance standards.
