Parents, mark your calendars for Tuesday, Aug. 14, because Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is presenting a lecture titled "Facts About Childhood Obesity" at 7 p.m.

Pediatrician Angela Mix, D.O., will speak on the immediate and long-term effects that obesity can have on the health and well-being of children.  In addition, the lecture will provide information on healthy school lunches and snacks for kids.

The event is free, but seating is limited and participants are asked to register online.  "Facts About Childhood Obesity" will be held in the Bluebonnet Room in Medical Office Building 2.
