St. Andrew UMC to Host Free Organ Recital Series in March

St. Andrew United Methodist Church invites the community to its third annual lunch-time organ recital series, highlighting the sounds of the impressive 4-manual Létourneau in the refined acoustics of the sanctuary, each Wednesday in March, beginning March 8, from 12:00 to 12:35 p.m., at 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75093.

“We’re celebrating our third year of this series,” said Dr. Jonathan Gregoire, Associate Director of Music/Organist, “and as something special, the theme for this year is “The University Edition” to highlight regional rising stars, while showcasing the importance St. Andrew United Methodist Church places on education. We invite the community to join us each Wednesday to hear the plethora of talent in our regional universities.”

In order, the organists include: Dr. Jonathan M. Gregoire, St. Andrew United Methodist Church and Artist Diploma Student at Southern Methodist University (March 8); The Organ Studio of Dr. Jesse Eschbach, University of North Texas (March 15); Dr. Damin Spritzer and Dr. Adam Pajan, Organ Faculty, University of Oklahoma (March 22); The Organ Studio of Prof. Stefan Engels, Southern Methodist University (March 29).

"Lunch-time recitals provide a welcome break in the work day to unplug from the office, with a set length for the perfect morsel of music,” added Gregoire. “Please join us any Wednesday that works best in your schedule, and experience the beautiful resources of St. Andrew.”
