The Friends of the City House, the local acoustic rock outfit D.Y.A. and the City House Organization are co-organizing the "2nd Annual City House Jam", sponsored by zuuzs.com, which will take place on Saturday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. in historic downtown Plano at Haggard Park.

The "Jam" is a family-friendly free live concert in the park featuring local artists, with free refreshments, CDs and other goodies. In return, the organizers only ask for donations to the City House and for the attendees to have a heightened awareness of child abuse and the good works that institutions like City House provides.

The City House Organization, with their head offices located next to Haggard Park, provides emergency and transitional services to children and young adults who are in need due to abuse, neglect or homelessness. Their hands are full all the time, but they always remain positive and hope to rehabilitate every child that walks through their doors. The Friends of the City House and D.Y.A. only want to raise as much awareness and donations for them so that they can do their part to help support the great organization that is City House.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. The first act is local musician Jayden Frost. The headliners are D.Y.A., who are veterans of fundraising concerts for City House. This marks their second City House Jam and fifth fundraising event for City House in the last 14 months. There will also be speeches by City House staff and a very special performance by a City House resident.

Please support the 2nd Annual City House Jam on Saturday June 2nd!  For more information on City House, the music and/or sponsor, please visit cityhousejam.com.
