The Shops at Legacy is Plano's home for holiday magic, as the shopping and dining destination that will light up the season with events that sparkle. Bring a little holiday glee to your annual shopping spree by combining fun and festivity with some productive holiday list-checking. While you are making plans to shop at Plano's favorite shopping destination, Bishop Road (#ShopBishop) in The Shops at Legacy, remember the center also has a variety of events to help you make those all-important holiday memories. Photos with Santa, Weekends, Dec. 5-20. The Shops at Legacy offers visits with the big guy himself, all decked out in his beautiful red suit in the perfect setting, Santa's Village, around the corner from Del Frisco's Grille. Selfie with Elfie Social Media Contest, Nov. 23 - Christmas Eve, Eve. How about a chance to win a gift card this holiday season? Join in on all the fun with the Selfie with Elfiecontest by putting your selfie skills to work for a chance to win. Simply follow @TheShopsatLegacy on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Watch for clues on social media to find Elfie's location that day at The Shops at Legacy. Once Elfie is spotted, shoppers can take a selfie with Elfie and post it to their social media, tagging @TheShopsatLegacy to be entered to win. Thirteen winners during the contest period will take home $100 gift cards to retailers at The Shops at Legacy -- and a whole lot of fun memories, caught on camera!
Lights at Legacy, Plano's premier tree-lighting celebration, Sunday, Nov. 22. Start the day with a special showing of the animated classic, "Happy Feet," at The Angelika Film Center. Visit AngelkaFilmCenter.com/Plano for tickets. From 4 to 7 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly event that will include holiday crafts with Mrs. Claus, magic with Mr. Scrooge, rides on the Christmas train, live entertainment, caricature artists, face painting and more. Photos with Santa will be available, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Children's Health. The switch to tens of thousands of beautiful lights, including those on the 65-foot Christmas tree, will be thrown at 6:30 p.m., officially heralding the start of the holiday season. The first 200 guests to visit The Shops at Legacy booth will take home a swag bag, with lucky recipients receiving a surprise gift card to start their holiday shopping!
