Online registration for the 2nd Annual DFW Women ROCK fun run is now available at Taking place Nov. 21 at the Oak Point Amphitheater in Plano, Women ROCK is a celebration of both female solidarity and healthy living through a series of women-only 10K, 5K, 2.5K and youth 2.5K races. Proceeds benefit Team Ortho Foundation, which also produces the event, for orthopedic research and education. Early bird registrants can enjoy $5 off any registration online now through Oct. 4 with discount code “WRDFW5”.

“Bone and joint health is especially important for women to maintain,” says Team Ortho Foundation Executive Director and Founder John Larson. “This event perfectly captures the essence of our mission to prevent orthopedic disease through an active lifestyle while providing a fun experience for women of all ages to enjoy together.”

To heighten the excitement on race day, participants of each race receive a beautiful lacquer-and-glass medal, handed to them at the finish line by some of DFW’s most handsome bachelors. Participants can also earn additional medals for completing multiple races through the Women ROCK Super Rock Starlet and Rock Starlet Challenges as well as a bevy of other exciting popular race swag:

  • Rock Starlet Challenge or Super Rock Starlet Challenge: Medal for each race, Women ROCK sterling silver and sapphire necklace, t-shirt and choice of jacket or bag
  • 10K or 5K only: Medal for each race, Women ROCK sterling silver and sapphire necklace and jacket
  • 2.5K or 2.5K Youth: Medal for each race and t-shirt

Post-race, every finisher can toast to each other’s victory with complimentary sparkling wine and visit with a variety of vendors covering health and beauty, nutrition and apparel.
