The Plano ISD Education Foundation today announced that it recently received $10,000 from the Flextronics Foundation. Funds received will support ten “Grants to Educators” awarded to Plano ISD teachers for innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs.

Specifically, the donation from Flextronics will provide funding for grants that include “eMake,” a Plano ISD Academy High School engineering design initiative.

“Flextronics recognizes that today’s children are the workforce of tomorrow, and we are committed to helping support educational programs that help develop and promote STEM careers,” Roger Crump, general manager at Flextronics, said. “We are proud to support organizations like the Plano ISD Education Foundation and their mission to provide grants to educators and programs supporting academic enrichment.”
