2013 CNN Hero of the Year Chad Pregracke will provide the keynote address for Learn 2 Live Green on Saturday, April 12. Hear how he is “Helping Clean America’s Rivers: From the Bottom Up” in the Well-Being Theater, located inside the Angelika Film Center, at The Shops at Legacy, 5741 Legacy Drive in Plano (eastside of the Dallas North Tollway). Learn 2 Live Green is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also in the Well-Being Theater, a group of inspiring local panelists will share their experiences in Heroes Next Door: How the Power of One Impacts an Entire Community. City of Plano Director of Media Relations Steve Stoler will introduce you to City of Allen teen Nicholas Cobb of Comfort and Joy, Larry Howe of Plano Solar Advocates, Christopher Parr of the Plano Multicultural Outreach Roundtable (MCOR), Graciela Katzer of the Plano International Festival, and Chad Ford a local resident. Learn how their ideas became the springboard for change in their communities. This theater will feature popular children performers the Pipdillys, who will have you singing, dancing and learning about health living. Also in the Well-being Theater is the Dirt Doctor™ Howard Garrett.

Inside the Angelika, visit the Garden Theater to learn how to get your garden growing with helpful tips and tricks utilizing natural and organic techniques. The Energy Theater will focus on conserving energy, making a home energy efficient and solar power. Participants will be taught do-it-yourself fixes for indoor water leaks and sprinkler repairs, while learning to conserve water with more conservative landscape watering methods in the Water-Efficiency Theater.
