Season Finale! The Texas Voices presents a choral concert celebrating its 15th season of performances in North Texas. The concert features two premieres by Dallas composers: Lev Tahor by Composer-in-Residence Debra Scroggins and “My Soul Magnifies the Lord” by SMU graduate Alvin Trotman.

Also featured is Julian Wachner’s An October Garden, a masterwork for choir, clarinet, flute, bass, and piano based on the poetry of Victorian poet Christina Rossetti. Additional performances include We Thank You for the Music by Dallas composer Tom Council and A Song of Joys by Nick Omiccioli, set to the poetry of Walt Whitman.

Performing with The Texas Voices are Jimmy Emery, piano; Jim Loeffler, organ; Robin Korevaar, clarinet; Jennifer Chen Ellis, flute; Scott Sheffler, bass; Natasha Merchant, oboe; and Elizabeth Clark, cello.
