Esperanza 5K/Eggsperanza Family Color Run & Fun Festival

The Esperanza 5K is a morning of fitness and fun the whole family, runners and non-runners alike, will enjoy. The Esperanza 5K Run will be on a new course this year, but still flat, fast and USTAF certified, for both runners and walkers.

The first 450 finishers in the 5K Run will receive a ceramic medal hand painted by the Mission Possible Kids at Custer Road UMC. Prizes will be given to the overall male and female 5K finishers, as well as awards for the top three male and female finishers in standard age categories. Youth under age 18 can register at a reduced rate. Children are welcome in the 5K Run if their abilities are sufficient.

Packet Pick Up:
•Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7, from 10am-6:30pm at Luke’s Locker, Shops at Legacy in Plano.
•On April 8, Race Day, prior to the race starting.

Eggsperanza 1 Mile Family Fun Color Run:
Family Fun 1 Mile Color Run, suitable for even the youngest children if accompanied by a parent, is a family friendly hop down the bunny trail taking place in conjunction with the Esperanza 5K. Registration is required for all participants. Each participant will receive a white race t-shirt and sunglasses at packet pick up. Each racer will also receive a ceramic medal once they cross the finish line. Children in strollers are welcome in both events and are not required to register. Register for the 1 Mile Family Fun Color Run online here or in person at Custer Road on Sundays, March 26 and April 2.

Eggsperanza Family Festival
The FREE Eggsperanza Festival features complimentary breakfast tacos, bounce houses, face painting, clowns, balloon animals, a special visit with the Easter Bunny, and concludes with an Easter Egg Hunt and Cascarones (confetti egg) Celebration.

Esperanza & Eggsperanza Schedule
•Esperanza 5k Begins at 8am
•Eggsperanza 1 Mile Fun Run Begins at 9am
•Eggsperanza Festivities (Egg Hunt etc.) Begins at 9am
•Egg Hunts will be by age and will begin at 10:30am, 10:40am and 10:50am

All race day activities will take place at the corner of Custer and Legacy!

Juntos Servimos:
All proceeds benefit Juntos Servimos (Together We Serve) and its efforts to bring physical and spiritual wholeness to families suffering the impacts of extreme poverty in northern Mexico. The Esperanza 5K brings hope, esperanza, by raising money that provides healthcare, education, shelter, food and water.
