New senior living community in Plano to commence construction in late 2022

PLANO, July 5, 2021 – Forefront Living, a faith-based nonprofit organization providing senior living and hospice services, hosted two informational events on June 29 at Hilton Granite Park for Priority Club members of The Outlook at Windhaven, its newest senior living community located in Plano.

The community will be developed on the former site of Haggard Farms, an 18.2-acre creekside location just west of the northwest corner of West Spring Creek Parkway and Windhaven Parkway near Windhaven Meadows Park. With Baby Boomers owning more than 32 million of America’s homes, communities like The Outlook at Windhaven are valuable in helping aging homeowners take advantage of historic real estate prices as they transition to senior living. Construction is set to begin in late 2022.

“More than 600 residents from Plano and surrounding communities have already expressed an interest in the community we are developing at this prime location and have joined our Priority Club,” said Tim Mallad, CEO of Forefront Living. “We were excited to share the latest details with those members at these two events as we help them plan and prepare for the future.”

The Outlook at Windhaven will be a gated community with 153 independent living apartment homes, 30 independent living cottage homes, 32 assisted living apartment homes and 24 memory support suites. With 153 independent living apartments on five floors, it will feature 14 unique floor plans ranging from 900-1,950 square feet. The 30 independent living cottages will feature two unique floor plan options ranging from 1,800-2,000 square feet and will include front porches, private courtyards and attached garages. Additionally, the campus will feature a state-of-the-art clubhouse building with dining, fitness, entertainment and other lifestyle amenities.

“We have engaged a stellar group of seasoned and experienced partners to develop The Outlook at Windhaven as we build a senior living community that blends casual elegance with the richness of nature,” continued Mallad. “Our team represents the best and the brightest in the senior living industry, and we are proud to work together to bring this community and more than 120 new jobs to Plano.”

The Outlook at Windhaven project team includes Greystone Communities, senior living development consultants; Three Living Architecture; Andres Construction; TBG Partners, landscape architect; Bridget Bohacz & Associates, interior design; Kimley-Horn, civil engineer; B.C. Ziegler and Company, financing; and CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, auditor.

Kim Harden, who was recently named executive director of The Outlook at Windhaven, shared a glimpse with attendees of what a “day in the life” may look like at the new community, including the lifelong learning programs, sample menus, services and community amenities that future residents will enjoy.

“I love sharing with future residents and their families a peek at what life will be like for them at The Outlook at Windhaven,” said Harden. “They have so many lifestyle choices to look forward to that will support fitness, wellness, socialization and engagement. I am so pleased to join the Forefront Living team to help bring The Outlook at Windhaven to life.”

Harden added that The Outlook at Windhaven is offering Priority Club Memberships to those who are interested in being first to receive information about the community, including pricing, floor plans, choice of location and a discounted deposit. “We encourage anyone who is considering becoming part of our new community to sign up for our Priority Club and join us on this exciting journey.” For more information, please call 972-996-3887 or visit TheOutlookatWindhaven.org.
