Faculty, staff and students at Plano’s Faith Lutheran School gathered on Friday, November 10 with military veterans, special guests and others for a special Veterans Day recognition program.

Faculty, staff and students at Plano’s Faith Lutheran School gathered on Friday, November 10 with military veterans, special guests and others for a special Veterans Day recognition program.

“This event was a way for us to show our respect for our country and to express our thanks to veterans who have given so much so that we may enjoy many freedoms,” said Faith Lutheran School Headmaster Rev. Stephen W. Kieser of Wylie

The event featured appearances by City of Plano Mayor Pro Tem Rick Grady and City of Plano Council Member Tom Harrison, representatives from the East Fork - Trinity Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and a variety of community veterans from all branches of the military.

The event also included choir performances, a flag folding ceremony, veteran recognition and more.

About Faith Lutheran School : Faith Lutheran School is fully accredited and provides classes from pre-school three-year-olds through the twelfth grade.  School curriculum is based on the classical model of education. In 1971, the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas established a four-year-old preschool for children of the congregation. Since then, the school has grown and opened enrollment to others in the community on a tuition basis. The school's educational program also includes both sports and the fine arts.
