More than 100 children and an army of more than 50 volunteers gathered at Faith Lutheran Church in Plano in late June for "Saved by Grace" Vacation Bible School.  The week-long program was filled with engaging crafts, thrilling games, a challenging Bible quiz time for children, Bible stories and much more. The VBS program was available for children ages three years old through sixth grade. The week-long event concluded with a closing celebration on Friday, June 27, where students sang songs and recited Bible memory verses for parents, teachers, friends and guests.

"Saved by Grace VBS took students on an amazing grace adventure! Children visited exciting sites on and around the Sea of Galilee through our Bible stories and discovered how Jesus saves us now and eternally. We, as sinners, would surely sink in our sin, but Jesus gives us grace," said Faith Lutheran Church Associate Pastor Rev. Mark Taylor. "Children sang fun songs, enjoyed crazy crafts, and learned all about Jesus. It was a great week!"

During the week, students collected funds to provide school supplies and backpacks for families served by Disciples of the Way Ministries, a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) mission society dedicated to serving the Muslim community both domestically and internationally through Gospel proclamation, personal friendships and loving service. The children raised almost $600.00 toward the purchase of these supplies.
