On Saturday, June 13, Plano's Heritage Farmstead Museum presented its sixth annual "Friends of the Farmstead," a fundraising dinner and concert event that featured a variety of delicious food, specialty drinks, many special guests and a concert by acoustic folk group The Trishas.

“We are thankful that many community joined us for a fun evening featuring dinner and live music on the historic grounds of the Heritage Farmstead Museum,” said Heritage Farmstead Museum Executive Director M’Lou Hyttinen.

The event featured appetizers from Angela’s at the Crosswalk chef Chris Reese, a Texas BBQ dinner from Love & War in Texas, music by Zach Coffey, unique drinks and cocktails from Zodiac Vodka and Silver Star Whiskey and a concert by The Trishas. 

The event also featured the appearance of live Texas longhorns, rousing games of Chicken Poop Bingo and the chance for guests to win a variety of prizes.

"This event continues to raise significant funds for the museum for our restoration and education initiatives,” added Hyttinen. “We are so thankful for our generous donors and supportive sponsors.  All proceeds from this event support Heritage Farmstead Museum's mission of preserving and celebrating agricultural history and lifestyles in North Texas.”
