Four Dallas PULSE Players Win Fan Vote To Earn Spot's In MLV's All-Star Match In Orlando

Dallas PULSE players Mimi Colyer, Natalia Valentin-Anderson, Sofia Maldonado Diaz, Layne Van Buskirk, and Kaitlyn Hord (alternate) have been selected to compete in the Major League Volleyball’s 2026 AdventHealth MLV All-Star Match. The selections were chosen by combination of fan voting and league selection. 

These Dallas PULSE favorites have the opportunity to compete on a national stage, highlighting the rise of professional volleyball in the North Texas sports landscape. The All-Star Match will take place Saturday, March 28 at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida and will be broadcast on CBS Network Television and Paramount+ at Noon ET.

“In our first year in the MLV, it’s an honor to have four athletes named to the All-Star teams, along with one alternate, Kaitlyn Hord. Each of these athletes is incredibly deserving, having performed at the top of their positions throughout the season so far,” said Dallas PULSE Head Coach Shannon Winzer. “This level of recognition in our first season also reflects the depth of talent we have in Dallas, supported by teammates who push and challenge each other every day.”

The MLV All-Star Match will feature two 12-player teams, led by former University of Utah head coach Beth Launiere and University of Louisville head coach Dan Meske.

  • Regan Pittman-Nelson (Middle Blocker), Columbus Fury

  • Mimi Colyer (Outside Hitter), Dallas PULSE

  • Morgan Hentz (Libero), Grand Rapids Rise

  • Lydia Martyn (Middle Blocker), Indy Ignite

  • Azhani Tealer (Opposite Hitter), Indy Ignite

  • Mia Tuaniga (Setter), Indy Ignite

  • Brooke Nuneviller (Outside Hitter), Omaha Supernovas

  • Kaz Brown (Middle Blocker), Orlando Valkyries

  • Chompoo Guedpard (Setter), Orlando Valkyries

  • Shara Venegas (Libero), San Diego Mojo

Powerhouse hitter Mimi Colyer currently leads the league for kills totaling 267 on a .295 hitting percentage. Joining her in the rankings, outside hitter Sofia Maldonado Diaz ranks third with 255 kills on a .262 hitting percentage. Natalia Valentin-Anderson leads the most efficient offense in the MLV with 763 assists on a .279% mark. Middle blocker Layne Van Buskirk has delivered 121 kills on a 50.6% kill percentage, ranking second in the league.

The Dallas PULSE have quickly established themselves as one of the most successful new professional teams in the North Texas sports market. The momentum, energy, and fan experience delivered at each match continue to attract new fans and build excitement around professional volleyball. As the PULSE usher in a new era of women’s sports in North Texas, the team is setting a clear path for greater visibility and opportunities for women.

As investment in professional women’s sports grows across North Texas, new opportunities are emerging to develop elite athletes, expand career opportunities for female professional athletes and bring high-level competition to local fans.

The PULSE currently ranks second in Major League Volleyball standing in their inaugural season. The PULSE will compete on the road against Grand Rapids Rise on Wednesday, March 18, at 6:00 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the match for free on Victory+.
