  heart disease\, and inspire yourself to take on the challenge of your own
  heart health. \n  \n  \n  \nDr. Rohatgi\, MD is part of UT Southwestern M
 edical Center which has been recognized by US News & World Report as one o
 f the nation’s top 15 hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery. \n  \n
   \n  \nThe symposium includes: \n  \n *Blood pressure checks \n  \n*BMI (
 Body Mass Index) calculation \n  \n*Body Fat Analysis \n  \n*Lecture by Dr
 . Rohatgi\, MD on preventative cardiology \n  \n*Q&A Session with Dr. Roha
 tgi\, MD \n  \n*Yoga for the Heart – attend one or a series of short \n  \
 nyoga sessions focused on heart health \n  \n*Kids Heart Challenge – a bun
 ch of fun learning activities \n  \nfor kids ages 5 and above on heart hea
 lth (please see details below) \n  \n*Heart Healthy Diet with Live Cooking

 n  \n  \n WHO CAN ATTEND?: The symposium is a free event organized as a co
 mmunity service to benefit people of all ages. Whether you are 5 or 80\, y
 ou can never be too young or too old to learn to make your heart healthy.

 AM: Bring your kindergartner and your teens! Fun age appropriate heart hea
 lth \n  \nlearning activities for ages 5 and above. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

  \n  \n  \n  \n REGISTRATION: Even though the event is free to the public
  \n  \n  \n  KIDS HEART HEALTH CHALLENGE PROGRAM: \n  \nIt’s become a know
 n statistic that 70% of kids in the US have poor heart health. It’s never
  too early to start building the right habits to care for the heart. It al
 l starts with awareness and knowledge. Learning about the heart and the im
 portance of maintaining it can be fun and exciting. God as the Divine Arch
 itect has crafted the heart and it is absolutely amazing. The Kids Heart H
 ealth Challenge is designed to inspire kids to learn and grow in their und
 erstanding\, appreciation and care for their heart. They can learn how vit
 al the heart is to their overall holistic health. \n  \n  \n  \nKids can c
 heck out demonstrations and participate in games\, contests\, quizzes as w
 ell as individual activities for all different age levels. \n  \n  \n  \nK
 ids are encouraged to make their own personal heart health pledge and add
  it to the wall in the Heart Health Pledge Hall. \n  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n A
 BOUT DR. ROHATGI\, MD – SYMPOSIUM LEADER \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Anand Roha
 tgi\, M.D.\, M.S.C.S.\, FACC\, FAHA\,  is a Professor of Medicine in the D
 epartment of Internal Medicine’s  Division of Cardiology  at UT Southweste
 rn Medical Center. He specializes in  preventive cardiology . \n  \n Dr. R
 ohatgi earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine. He
  completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvani
 a Health System and a cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern. He also ho
 lds a master’s degree in clinical science from UT Southwestern. \n  \n Boa
 rd certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine\, he joined t
 he UT Southwestern faculty in 2008. \n  \n In addition to his clinical rol
 es\, Dr. Rohatgi is the Associate Program Director of UTSW’s Cardiovascula
 r Fellowship\, and he serves on several campus committees to enhance clini
 cal research. He is an active CME speaker and has given several invited na
