Christmas music that is nearly 400 years old. The concert will conclude w
ith Antonio Vivaldi’s classic “Gloria.” In lieu of tickets\, a donation of
$20 is suggested. \n“Levinson\, in my opinion is a true legend\,” said Ta
ylor Davis\, creative director of traditional music and worship at St. And
rew. “When it comes to chamber music\, he flies all over the world as a te
acher\, performer\, and lecturer. I’m delighted to welcome Levinson and fr
iends to St. Andrew and thrilled to have the opportunity to conduct Vivald
i’s “Gloria” during this concert. Antonio Vivaldi\, born in 1678\, taught
music at an orphanage school\, where they would have been the first to pl
ay and sing “Gloria.” Its historic words are most closely associated with
the Christmas season. We sing these same words each year when we sing the
refrain of “Angels We Have Heard on High” – ‘Gloria in excelsis Deo!’ We
hope you can join us for this beautiful holiday experience.” \nSt. Andrew
Methodist Church remains committed to excellence and creativity while sin
ging words or playing music that has been used by Christians for hundreds\
 , even thousands\, of years.  \n“Music serves as a powerful connector\, br
inging the community together in a shared experience\,” continued Davis. “
It gives us a way to share our emotions when words fall short and stirs up
unique feelings and memories that are unique to each of us. Join us this
holiday season\, make new Christmas memories with your family\, and learn
more about the ways that you might enjoy connecting through music at St.
